JB + Diana {Vintage Engagement Shoot}

We were so excited to see our stylized beach engagement shoot with Siegel Thurston Photography featured on Style Me Pretty this summer!  Brett and Liz of Siegel Thurston, teamed up with newly engaged couple Diana and JB to create a vintage inspired engagement session while we styled the shoot with our vintage rentals!  Diana and JB envisioned a fun, flirty, vintage inspired shoot on a sunny day and that is what we created for them.  A few personal touches included JB's obsession with donuts, and Diana's bubbly personality with vintage coca cola bottles, a fun game of bocce ball and a yummy s'more station!  A few of our vintage rentals that are shown are the rustic red lanterns, wooden bench and pillows, red vintage ice chest, wooden signs, glass s'more jars, and also a few of our pretty glass plates to display JB's donuts!  Take a look below to see how we assisted in creating their vision!

Huge thank you to Siegel Thurston Photography and JB + Diana for an awesome engagement shoot, we had a blast!

Andrew + Christina {Real Wedding}

Andrew and Christina found an incredible warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles. It had all the elements they were looking for... exposed brick walls, high wood beam ceilings, and a skys the limit attititue towards what they could create in the space and the ability to add whatever instalations their heart desired. Andrew got to work real quick designing and creating amazing lighting instalations that hung over tables, bars, and graced the altar as well. Christina worked with the florist to design wood planter boxes that would be suspended from the ceiling which lined the aisle. They strung market lights and paper lanterns and brought in a taco truck that dished out delicious food to their 200+ guests! It was a fun night with their friends taking turns spinning their favorite, eclectic vinyls. Since her wedding Christina has been hard at work creating her own jewelry line Duende. Check out her amazing goodies here.

Be My Bridesmaid? {Creativity + Fresh Ideas}

Brides, are you in need of a little creativity or ideas on how to ask your gals to be with you on your wedding day?  We have found and put together a few we think your ladies will love!  There is an idea for everyone! Whether you are a crafty bride, or a bride with a sweet tooth, there are several ways to show your girls you need them on your big day!

Roses are red, violets are blue, will you be my bridesmaid? Please say "I do!"

Be My Maid?  Create a hand crafted box and present it to your girlfriends filled with pictures and essential 'bridesmaid roles.'  You could include color swatches of the big day, a fabric sample of  the dress you have in mind, specific wedding information including the venue and time, and of course a thoughtful + personal message to your girls!
Bridesmaid cut outs We love how cute this idea is!  Time to get the scissors out and doodle, dress up, or bedazzle those little cut outs!  Label them with each bridesmaid's name so they all know who will join them in the bridal party!

Mason jar cake recipe  This idea is perfect for those friends of your with a little sweet tooth, or possibly someone who loves to bake!  You could include a cake in a jar recipe and a spoon!  Look for creative mason jar recipes on Pinterest!

Bridesmaid joke card  If you decide to keep things light, and playful have fun with the idea of throwing a joke into the mix!  Who doesn't love a good laugh?

A bottle of bubbly  Now we all know that wedding's have the champagne flowing!  Why wait until the reception for the first toast? Ask your gals to be sipping by your side now, and at the wedding!
A pretty handmade card  This idea is so great for those crafty brides and bridesmaids who are sure to appreciate your hard work!  This diy card is pretty & elegant and most of all, thoughtful and made with love!
A personal note You can't go wrong with a message that is straight to the point.  "I found a man, but I still need my girls!" Don't let your ladies feel left out of this exciting new adventure you are planning, include them in the big day! The more the merrier!

Pinterest Love: {Burlap inspired Wedding}

So this week, my latest obsession has been all about BURLAP!  Surprise, surprise we have been seeing burlap used much more frequently these last few months with the Holidays coming to an end.  From burlap table runners, and aisle runners, to burlap bunting, burlap wrapped mason jars, burlap wrapped bouquets, and burlap reupholstered chairs... it is a burlap frenzy out there and we are absolutely LOVING it!  This material is so versatile and could basically be used with anything and everything!  We think a rustic burlap- inspired Wedding is in store and we are here to show you how it can all be executed and created beautifully!
